Department of Roga Nidana and Vikruti Vijnana deals with the Cause, Physical Examination, Investigation and Diagnosis part in a Disease. The subject is taught in second year where clinical exposure is provided to students by OPD and IPD visits. Identifying the disease along with the grading of strength and tolerance capacity of a patient is important in selecting the therapeutics. This branch acts as a bridge between the Ayurveda concepts in first year and the Remedial measures dealt further. Skill development in handling the patient, from rapport till getting the disease diagnosed is the main objective of the subject Roga Nidana and Vikruti Vijnana.
